In
the first few months of life, a baby will begin to be aware
of it's surroundings .Nearby sights and sounds are interesting and
a baby will reach out and grasp anything it can. Bright colours ,
unusual textures and different sounds will stimulate any baby and
so these are the key features of this groups of toys
Now,
baby will start moving around and enjoy playing and experimenting
with toys. Pressing buttons and toys which can be pushed will help
them to focus, develop co-ordination and begin to balance.Activity
centers and push-along toys help the transition from the baby to toddler.
Toddlers
are curious and inquistive - they begin to explore their surrounding
and are also learning to speak. They have increased control over hand
and finger movement and the hand to eye co-ordination will have developed.
Soft books with pop-out or pull-out will help increase dexterity whilst
allowing them to identify objects and characters - the first step
to reading.
Kids
now are starting to take note of adults around them- watching what
they do and want to be like them. Everyday tasks which might prove
ordinary to an adult can provide hours of fun to a child, so cookers
,keys, musical equipment and vehicles are the name of the game.
